Slim Metrix Editorial Standards: How Every Page Is Checked
Every page starts from the Slim Metrix Supplement Facts panel, which wins over any sales claim. Seller statements are quoted and attributed, health facts are linked to NIH, FDA, CDC, FTC or peer-reviewed sources, and we show our dose math. We publish no rating, review or name we cannot verify, and we disclose that we earn money from sales.

Who writes
Who writes the Slim Metrix pages?
The Slim Metrix editorial team at Slimmetrixfit writes every page. Slimmetrixfit is a licensed U.S. retail desk for Slim Metrix, not the manufacturer, and it earns money when readers buy through the order links.
That last fact is the reason these standards exist. A seller has a reason to praise. The rules below are how we keep the pages useful to a reader who is still deciding, including a reader who decides not to buy.
The medical reviewer has not been named yet. A licensed physician or registered dietitian will be named only after that person has truly reviewed the pages. Until then, no page claims a medical review. See the about page for more on the team.
Sources
Which sources do the Slim Metrix pages trust most?
The bottle first, public health agencies next, the sales page last, and always labeled as the seller's words.
| Rank | Source | What we use it for | How we treat it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Supplement Facts panel | Ingredients, amounts, serving, directions | Copied word for word; it wins every conflict |
| 2 | NIH, NCCIH, FDA, CDC, NIDDK, FTC | Daily Values, limits, safety, rules | Linked, with only what the page says |
| 3 | Peer-reviewed meta-analyses | Doses studied and the size of effects | Linked, with study size, dose and limits |
| 4 | Brand graphics and bottle photos | What the product looks like | Described as they are; captions say what they leave out |
| 5 | The brand's sales page | Prices, packs, refund policy, claims | Dated, quoted and attributed to the seller |
| 6 | Seller brief | Contacts and reference codes | Used only where marked "from our brief" |
Each citation in the text links to its source, and the reference list beneath a page carries the facts we took from each one. If a source does not say something, we do not claim it does.
Label first
Why does the Slim Metrix label win over the sales page?
Because the label is the legal fact sheet, and the sales page is advertising. When the two differ, we print the difference and follow the label.
- The sales title says "Thermogenic Fat-Burning Capsules." The label makes no such claim, so we attribute that phrase every time.
- The brand's ingredient graphic shows six ingredients. The label lists ten, so our pages list ten.
- The label prints chromium as 41.67% of the Daily Value. Today's Daily Value is 35 mcg, which puts 50 mcg at about 143% (NIH ODS, Chromium). We say so calmly and do not guess why.
- The blend prints no single amounts, so we show the most each could weigh by its place, and say it is our math, not a lab test (FDA, Labeling guide ch. IV).
The side-by-side is on the label vs sales page page.

Weighing evidence
How does the Slim Metrix team judge the strength of evidence?
By the kind of study, the dose used, and who took part. Watch where each option sits.
- 4Guidelines and large trials
- 3Several trials
- 2Small human trials
- 1Lab and animal studies
- Slim Metrix formulaNo trials found(Slim Metrix sales page)
- Berberine at 1 g or moreSmall, mixed trials(NCCIH, Berberine and weight loss) (Liu et al., Front Pharmacol 2025)
- Chromium, green teaMany trials; about 1 kg(NIH ODS, Chromium) (NIH ODS, Weight-loss supplements)
- Prescription weight medicines3-12% more loss at 1 year(NIDDK, Weight medicines)
Higher means stronger evidence for weight loss. Medicines work alongside eating and activity changes, which CDC lists as the base of any weight plan.
A lab or animal result is not proof for people. A small trial in people with diabetes in one country does not settle the question for everyone. And a study at 1,000 mg says little about a capsule that holds at most about 69 mg. We name the dose, the size of the effect and the main limits each time.
The FTC holds health claims to a similar bar: competent and reliable science, generally human trials that match the product's dose and formula (FTC, Health Products Guidance). No such trial of Slim Metrix has been published, so no page claims the formula works.
Wording
What words will you never see on Slim Metrix pages?
Disease claims
We do not write that Slim Metrix treats, cures or prevents anything. A product sold that way is a drug in FDA's eyes (FDA, Supplement Q&A).
Empty badges
No "miracle," no "guaranteed results," no "clinically proven," "doctor recommended" or "FDA approved." None of them can be backed up here.
Borrowed hype
No countdown timers, struck "was" prices, unsourced ratings or shipped counts copied from the sales page.
We also write about health and habits, not looks, and we never shame anyone about weight. Pages aim for a grade 7 to 8 reading level with short sentences.
Reviews
How does the Slim Metrix team handle customer reviews?
Only reviews matched to a real order are published, and none has passed that check yet.
Star scores, quotes and face photos from sales pages and seller briefs are not shown, because none could be matched to a real buyer. Reviews appear here only once they pass the four checks below.
- 1Order matched
A review goes live only after the order number and email match a real Slim Metrix order.
- 2Good and bad alike
Low ratings are published on the same terms as high ones, and nothing is edited except spelling.
- 3No paid or AI reviews
Federal rules ban fake reviews, reviews bought for a set opinion and AI-written testimonials.
- 4Health claims flagged
A review claiming a supplement can treat a disease gets a clear note, never a highlight.
The seller's brief arrived with a score, counts and named sample reviews. They read like template text and could not be matched to a buyer, so we left them out, along with the brand's reviewer face photos. The FTC's 2024 rule bans fake and AI-written reviews and company-controlled review sites posing as independent (FTC, Fake reviews rule 2024). More on our reviews page.

FAQ
Slim Metrix editorial standards FAQ
Who writes the content on the Slim Metrix website?
The Slim Metrix editorial team at Slimmetrixfit, a licensed U.S. retail desk for Slim Metrix. The team is not the manufacturer and earns money from sales through the site's links, which is why every sales claim is attributed and every health fact is linked to a public source.
Who checks the Slim Metrix pages for medical accuracy?
No one is named yet. No medical reviewer is listed, and no page claims a medical review. A licensed physician or registered dietitian will be named only after that person has truly reviewed the pages and agreed to be named.
Why doesn't the Slim Metrix site show star ratings?
Because none could be verified. The ratings, counts and sample reviews supplied to us read like template text, and the sales page's testimonials are marked not typical. We publish a review only after it is matched to a real order, good or bad.
Where does the Slim Metrix site get its health facts?
The bottle's Supplement Facts panel first, then NIH, NCCIH, FDA, CDC, NIDDK and FTC pages, then peer-reviewed meta-analyses. The brand's sales page is used for prices, packs and the refund policy, always dated and attributed. Each citation links to its source.
Is the Slim Metrix website biased because it sells the product?
It has a reason to be, so we disclose it and use fixed rules against it. The label beats the marketing, weak spots sit next to strengths, doses are compared with research, and nothing unverified is published.
How often is the Slim Metrix information updated?
The label lines, sales page prices and every cited source were last checked on October 12, 2026. We update a page when a reader reports a confirmed error, a price changes, or a cited source changes, and the last-updated date moves with it.
Can I ask for a correction to a Slim Metrix page?
Yes. Email [email protected] with the page address and what you think is wrong. A photo of your bottle's label helps. We check it against the label and the cited source, fix confirmed errors and update the date.
